Apartment moves without the drama
Whether it's a converted mill apartment in Little Germany, a modern block near Forster Square, or a flat above a shop on Manningham Lane, the challenge is rarely the amount of stuff, it's getting it in and out cleanly. We ask the right questions up front: Is there a lift and does it need booking? Where can the van legally stop? Is there a service entrance? Does the building manager need a copy of our insurance?
On the day, we bring a sack truck and furniture sliders, protect communal hallways where needed, and work quickly so we're not blocking the lift or the bay for longer than necessary. A one-bedroom flat usually loads in under an hour.
Bradford, Leeds and student lets
A large share of our flat removals are between Bradford and Leeds, young professionals moving nearer to work, or couples upsizing from a city-centre apartment to a house in the suburbs. We also handle plenty of moves in and out of purpose-built student accommodation near the University of Bradford and Bradford College; see our dedicated student removals page if that's you.
We cover flats in Halifax, Shipley and Saltaire, and the Waterfront apartments in Brighouse too.
Sized right for a flat
A long wheelbase Transit is the sweet spot for apartments. It swallows a one- or two-bedroom flat in one trip, but it's still a van, it fits under most car park height barriers that would stop a Luton, and it can squeeze into loading bays a lorry can't. That means less shuttling, less waiting, and a lower bill.
- One-bed and two-bed flats typically moved in a single load
- Fits under most 2.1m+ height barriers (we'll check yours in advance)
- Sack truck, sliders and blankets for communal areas
- Beds, sofas and wardrobes dismantled if they won't fit the stairwell
End-of-tenancy and deposit-friendly
Renting? We know a scuffed wall in the stairwell can cost you your deposit. Corners are protected, furniture is carried not dragged, and we leave the flat empty and swept.
Frequently asked questions: flat & apartment removals
There's no lift, can you still move me?
Yes. Stairs are normal for us. Let us know the floor number when booking so we can allow enough time and bring the right kit; for anything above the third floor we may suggest a second pair of hands.
Where will the van park?
We'll ask about loading bays, permit zones and building access when you book. If a parking suspension or visitor permit is needed, we'll tell you in advance so it's arranged for the day.
Does the building need proof of insurance?
Some managed blocks do. We can email a copy of our goods-in-transit and public liability documents to your building manager before the move.
Can you do a flat move in the evening?
We work until 8pm seven days a week. Evening moves are popular for flats because the loading bays are quieter, just book early to secure the slot.
My sofa came in through the window, can you get it out?
We'll take legs and cushions off and try every angle first. If it genuinely won't go, we'll tell you honestly rather than force it and damage the frame or the doorway.
