One staircase, one front door, one pavement to work off
The whole town is about a square mile, with the bus station, Market Place, the 1863 clock tower and the main shops packed into a single block. There is nowhere behind to load from, so everything comes out of that door onto a busy pavement, and the order we do it in is the whole plan.

Where those have been divided into an upstairs and a downstairs flat, the shared staircase is narrow and the turn at the top decides whether a sofa goes up on its feet or on its end. We would rather know that in advance than discover it at the halfway landing.
