How marketplace collection works
You agree the purchase with the seller as normal. Then you send us the listing link (or a screenshot), the collection postcode, your delivery address and any time the seller has suggested. We reply with a fixed price. Once you confirm, we coordinate directly with the seller if you'd like us to, turn up at the agreed time, load the item carefully, and bring it to you.

Sofas, beds, wardrobes and everything else people sell
A marketplace job might be a sofa from Leeds, a dining table from Halifax, or a wardrobe from three streets away that simply won't fit in a Fiesta. We also collect garden furniture, gym equipment, fish tanks, upright pianos (with notice), cots, bikes, fridges and kitchen units that are already out. If it's in a listing and it'll go in a long wheelbase van, we'll collect it.

Why not just hire a van?
You could, and for a flat-pack desk three streets away that is the sensible answer. It stops being sensible the moment the item is upstairs. A hire van arrives with no trolley, no blankets and no straps, the seller is under no obligation to help you get a corner sofa down their staircase, and you find out whether it comes apart while standing in their hallway with the clock running. We turn up with the trolley and the straps, and the lifting is included in the fixed price. Whether you need to be at the seller's end is something to settle with the seller when you book.

We collect anywhere within roughly an hour of Bradford: Huddersfield, Wakefield, Keighley, Harrogate, Dewsbury and everywhere between. Collection in one town and delivery in another is fine; the price is based on total mileage. For sellers further away, ask about a longer run; a one-off item from Manchester or Sheffield can still be worth it for the right piece.

What if the item isn't as described?
It gets checked against the listing photos on collection. If something's clearly wrong (damage, missing parts, the wrong size), you get a call before loading so you can decide.
Can you collect when I'm at work?
That depends on the seller. Tell us when you book how the seller is happy to hand the item over, and who will be at your end to let us in. We work until 8pm, so an evening delivery is an option if that's easier.
How quickly can you collect?
Same or next day for local sellers when the diary allows, depending on when the seller is free. A seller may pass the item to another buyer if collection drags, so send us the details as soon as the deal is agreed.
Do you dismantle items at the seller's house?
If a bed or flat-pack wardrobe needs taking apart to get it out, that can be done with the seller's agreement. Let us know in advance so time is allowed for it.
How much does Marketplace collection cost in Bradford?
