How marketplace collection works
You agree the purchase with the seller as normal. Then you send us the listing link (or a screenshot), the collection postcode, your delivery address and any time the seller has suggested. We reply with a fixed price. Once you confirm, we coordinate directly with the seller if you'd like us to, turn up at the agreed time, load the item carefully, and bring it to you. You can pay the seller in advance or send the cash with us to hand over on collection, plenty of customers do.
- Send us the listing and both postcodes on WhatsApp
- Fixed price back, usually within the hour
- We liaise with the seller on timing
- Item checked on collection, we'll call you if it doesn't match the photos
- Delivered into your room, not left on the doorstep
Sofas, beds, wardrobes and everything else people sell
The typical marketplace job is a sofa from Leeds, a dining table from Halifax, or a wardrobe from three streets away that simply won't fit in a Fiesta. But we also collect garden furniture, gym equipment, fish tanks, pianos, cots, bikes, fridges and, on more than one occasion, a full kitchen someone was ripping out. If it's in a listing and it'll go in a long wheelbase van, we'll collect it.
For big items, take a look at our dedicated pages on sofa and bed delivery and appliance delivery, same service, more detail on how we handle each.
Why not just hire a van?
You could, but by the time you've paid the day rate, the insurance excess, the fuel and found a friend to help you lift, it usually costs more than booking us. And you'll have spent your Saturday doing it. We collect while you're at work, and it's a fixed price with the lifting included.
Across Bradford and West Yorkshire
We collect anywhere within roughly an hour of Bradford: Huddersfield, Wakefield, Keighley, Harrogate, Dewsbury and everywhere between. Collections in one town and delivery in another are normal, the price is based on total mileage. For sellers further away, ask about a longer run; a one-off item from Manchester or Sheffield is often still worth it for the right piece.
Frequently asked questions: marketplace & ebay collection
Can you pay the seller for me?
If you'd rather not pay in advance, you can send the agreed cash with us and we'll hand it over on collection once we've checked the item. Just let us know when you book.
What if the item isn't as described?
We'll check it against the listing photos on collection. If something's clearly wrong, damage, missing parts, wrong size, we'll call you before loading so you can decide.
Can you collect when I'm at work?
Yes. You don't need to be present at collection, and for delivery we just need someone to let us in. Many customers arrange delivery for the evening.
How quickly can you collect?
Often the same or next day for local sellers, depending on availability and when the seller is free. Sellers tend to want things gone quickly, so the sooner you send us the details the better.
Do you dismantle items at the seller's house?
If a wardrobe or bed needs taking apart to get it out, we can do that with the seller's agreement. Let us know in advance so we allow time.
