Our Van: a Ford Transit Long Wheelbase
These are photos of the actual van that will do your job: a Ford Transit long wheelbase with 3.4m of load length, 1.3m between the wheel arches and 1.7m of height inside, about 11 cubic metres in all.
Organised for capacity, loaded for stability
Loads are built heavy and square at the bottom, strapped to the side rails and wrapped in blankets so nothing shifts on the way. Wondering whether your sofa or fridge will go in? Read Will it fit in a long wheelbase van?

Will your load fit? Ask us.
Tell us what needs moving and we'll confirm whether it fits before you book.
How big is the van inside?
The load space is 3.4m long, 1.3m wide between the wheel arches and 1.7m high, about 11 cubic metres in total. That takes a one-bed flat or a lightly furnished two-bed home in one load.
Can the van get into a multi-storey car park?
No. The van is about 2.5m tall, so it will not fit under the 2.1m height barriers most car parks use. We load from the street or a service yard instead.
Can a fridge freezer go in upright?
If it is shorter than the 1.7m internal height, it goes in upright. Send the height or the model number with your photos and we will check it against the roof before you book.
Are my things insured while they are in the van?
Yes. Goods in transit cover is £10,000 and public liability cover is £5 million.
Will my sofa fit?
A standard three-seater and most corner suites fit. Send the measurements with a photo and we will confirm before you book.
