What sets the price
- Time on the job: loading, driving, unloading. Stairs, long carries and dismantling add time.
- Distance: barely matters within West Yorkshire; becomes the main factor on long distance moves.
- Volume: one load of a long wheelbase van (about 11 m³, a one- or two-bed home) or two.
- Access: ground floor with parking outside is quickest; fourth floor, no lift, bay 100m away is slower.
- Extras you choose: packing, old items taken away, a second pair of hands.

Do you charge by the hour or a fixed price?
We quote a fixed price for the job based on the time, distance and volume involved, so you know the figure before we set off. For open-ended jobs such as multi-drop runs we may agree an hourly rate up front instead.
Is there a call-out or travel charge?
No travel surcharge anywhere within our one-hour core area, Bradford, Leeds, Halifax, Huddersfield, Keighley, Wakefield, Harrogate and the towns between. Long distance jobs include mileage in the fixed price.
Is loading and unloading included?
Always. You're booking a driver who lifts, not just a van. Stairs, dismantling and reassembly are included; unusually heavy items (pianos, safes) may need a second person, which we'll quote for.
What payment do you accept?
Cash, bank transfer or card on completion. Business customers can be invoiced weekly or monthly.
Do you need a deposit?
Not for standard local jobs. For long distance moves and larger house moves we may ask for a small deposit to secure the date.
Is VAT added?
The price we quote is the price you pay. There are no additional charges added on the day.
