The long wheelbase Transit can take a standard corner suite, both sections plus the footstool, in one trip, with the sections on their base or back.
We carry sofas properly: legs off if they unscrew, cushions bagged separately, arms wrapped in blankets and doorframes checked before we lift. If a piece is tight on the stairs we'll try every angle before telling you it won't go.
Beds and mattresses
Bed frames come apart; mattresses don't. A king-size mattress needs 2 metres of clear length and a van tall enough to stand it on its side, which is why so many people end up paying for store delivery. Our van has 1.7 metres of height and 3.4 metres of length, so mattresses up to king size travel flat or on their side without being folded or crushed. A super king is wider than the 1.3m between the wheel arches, so give the exact size when you book and it will be checked before the day.

Making room for the new sofa
A new three-seater needs somewhere to stand, and a terrace front room will not hold two of them at once. So before the new one comes in, we move the old one out of the way on the same visit: into another room, out to the garage, or outside ready for your council's bulky waste collection. We don't take old items away, so nothing old goes back in the van. Tell us where the old one is going when you book, because it changes the order things are carried.

Do you take the old sofa away?
No, we don't take old items away. What we can do on the same visit is move the old sofa out of the way: into another room, the garage, or outside ready for your council's bulky waste collection, which you book direct with them. Tell us where it is going when you book.
Does the mattress get folded?
No. Mattresses travel flat or on their side. Folding a sprung or memory foam mattress can damage it, so we never do it.
