A Local Bradford Man and Van You Can Rely On
Man With Van Long Wheelbase is an independent, owner-operated moving and transport service based in Bradford, West Yorkshire. One driver, one Ford Transit long wheelbase van (3.4m × 1.3m × 1.7m load space), and a simple way of working: agree a time and keep you posted, handle your things with care, and charge a fair price agreed in advance.
Small on purpose
We're not a franchise or a lead-generation site that sells your job to whoever's cheapest. When you book Man With Van Long Wheelbase, the person you speak to is the person who turns up with the van. That means no miscommunication about access or timings, and someone who genuinely cares whether you'd recommend us to a neighbour.
A lot of moves in Bradford and West Yorkshire are too small for a removal lorry and too big for a car, which leaves people either overpaying a big firm or struggling with a hire van. A long wheelbase Transit and a driver who does the lifting sits in that gap.

What you can expect on every job
Kept in the loop
We agree an arrival time with you. If traffic on the M62 is against us, you'll get a call, not silence.
Careful handling
Blankets, straps and a trolley on every job. Fridges that fit under the 1.7m roof travel upright, and mattresses go flat or on their side, never folded.
Honest pricing

A straight answer
If something won't fit, or a bigger firm would serve you better, we'll say so rather than take the booking.

Bradford first, West Yorkshire always, nationwide by arrangement
Home is Bradford. Our core patch is everywhere within about an hour: Leeds, Halifax, Huddersfield, Keighley, Wakefield, Harrogate and the towns between. Further out, Burnley and Colne over the Pennines are a longer run that we book as a planned slot. For long distance moves we go anywhere in mainland Britain.
The core services are Bradford removals, furniture and large item delivery, appliance delivery and same-day courier, but if it fits in a van, ask.

The local detail that changes a job
Most towns have an awkward bit, and knowing it before the day is the difference between a three-hour job and a five-hour one. A few examples:
- HaworthMain Street is steep, narrow and setted; a long wheelbase van cannot sensibly stand there for a load, so furniture is usually trolleyed from a council car park
- ShipleySaltaire is a World Heritage Site and conservation area where every house is listed, so furniture has to fit through the doors and stairs as they are; many terraces have a back alley behind them
- Hebden BridgeIn the over-and-under terraces your front door may be two floors above or below the street a van can reach, so the steps between them are the first thing to plan
- KnaresboroughThe historic core sits on a cliff above the River Nidd: Kirkgate, Waterside and the cobbled Water Bag Bank are steep and narrow, and a Transit with a 3.4m load bed often cannot stop close to the door
- KeighleyThe terraced streets climbing out of the Aire and Worth valleys, Fell Lane, Highfield and Thwaites Brow in particular, are steep, which is heavy going with a loaded trolley in wet weather
- QueensburyAt about 1,100ft Queensbury can hold snow and ice after the city below has cleared, so winter moves get a weather check before the van sets off
- MorleyThe central section of Queen Street is closed to motor vehicles, so town-centre loading is done from Commercial Street or the side streets
- RothwellCommercial Street is semi-pedestrianised, with vans allowed to load only at the signed times, so town-centre moves are timed around the signs
A review takes a minute and genuinely helps
We're a one-van business competing with big removals firms. An honest review on Google is the most useful thing a happy customer can do for us, and it helps the next person in your town decide.
