Why Burnley customers book us
This is the biggest and flattest town in the group, and most of it is dense Victorian byelaw terracing: Daneshouse, Stoneyholme, Burnley Wood and Rose Grove, long straight rows with cobbled alleys behind. Those alleys look like access on a map and are not. They are too narrow and too rough to take a loaded Transit, so nearly every terrace job is worked off the front street, where cars park both sides and a wheelie bin can be the thing that stops you.
The centre has its own puzzles. The one-way system around Manchester Road, Grimshaw Street and Parker Lane carries heavy traffic and has been under long-running roadworks, so which streets you can legally load on changes from month to month and we check before the day rather than on it. The Leeds and Liverpool Canal cuts straight through, including the raised Straight Mile, and the bridges decide which crossings a loaded van can actually use.
Burnley College and the University of Lancashire's Burnley campus give the town a real student population, with halls at Sandygate Hall, so late August to mid-September fills up with single-room moves and June sends the same traffic the other way. At the far end of the scale, the 1980s and 1990s estates on the edge of town have driveways, which makes those jobs quick. Match days at Turf Moor close streets and fill the parking around Brunshaw.
Man and van services we offer in Burnley
Burnley jobs are mostly house removals worked off the front street, student moves around the college and the university campus, and sofa and bed delivery into terraces with a tight front door and a staircase to match. We also run business deliveries to Network 65, Burnley Bridge and Shuttleworth Mead, and long distance removals that pick up the M65 on the way out.

Frequently asked questions: man with a van in Burnley
Is Burnley too far for you?
No, it is simply the furthest we go: 27 road miles, usually fifty to sixty-five minutes over the A6068 and onto the M65. That makes it a booked slot with a date and a time rather than a same-hour job. The price is fixed before we set off, and crossing the Pennines does not add a surcharge.
Can you use the back street behind our terrace?
Almost certainly not. The cobbled ginnels behind the Victorian rows in Daneshouse, Stoneyholme and Burnley Wood are too narrow and too rough for a long wheelbase Transit, whatever the map shows. We work off the front street instead, which means finding a gap between parked cars, so an early start makes a real difference.
Do you do student moves in Burnley?
Yes. Burnley College and the University of Lancashire campus put a genuine student population in town, and the Sandygate Hall rooms turn over every year. Late August to mid-September is the busy stretch and June is the move-out, so book those weeks well ahead of the date you actually need the van.
