Getting between them and the middle of town is the part that needs thought, because the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and its raised Straight Mile embankment limit which crossings a loaded van can use.

Usually, though not always alongside parked cars and bins. The rear alleys are cobbled and too narrow for a long-wheelbase van, so we work off the front street like everyone else. If the gap is genuinely too tight we stop at the end of the row and trolley it down. Tell us the street and we will look first.

Can you take the old sofa when you bring the new one?

Yes, if you want rid of it. It goes out as the new one comes in, on the same visit, and old appliances go to a household waste recycling centre. What we do not do is clear a whole house, a garage or a yard. This is furniture delivery, not waste removal.
