A Burnley same-day run: why the call time matters
The round trip alone is around two hours of driving for one van, before loading and unloading. That makes a request at nine in the morning a very different job from one at three in the afternoon. The high ground before Colne is where the weather adds time, not the motorway, so in fog or snow we tell you before you promise a time to your own customer. If today will not work, we offer the earliest planned slot.
The jobs that suit are urgent one-offs, door to door: a part a town-centre shop needs before it closes, a box left behind after a house move, a replacement item promised to a customer today. Your consignment is the only thing on board, so nothing goes through a depot, and it is handed to the person you name at the drop. Anything that fits in 3.4m of floor, 1.3m between the arches and 1.7m of height can go, from one carton to a piece of furniture.
What we need to answer a Burnley same-day request
- Both postcodes, a photo of the item and the latest acceptable delivery time
- A contact name and number at the collection and the drop
- Whether the drop is a shop, an office reception or a house
- Town-centre drops around Manchester Road need the legal loading point checked first, as the rules there change
- On a Turf Moor match day, a drop near Brunshaw or Burnley Wood takes longer, so say if that is where it is going
- The price is fixed before the van leaves Bradford for the Pennine crossing

- Homes in Towneley, Ightenhill and Rose Grovea private one-off, such as something left behind after a move

Same-Day Courier in Burnley: your questions
Can you guarantee same-day to Burnley?
No. We take it on only when the diary allows, and we tell you straight away if not.
Why does it take so long when Burnley has a motorway?
The M65 ends at Colne, so from Bradford the first part of the route crosses high moorland on ordinary roads.
Who is the item handed to?
The contact you give us for the drop. Tell us their name and number, and whether it is a shop counter, a reception or a front door.
Can you collect in Burnley and deliver to Leeds the same day?
When the diary allows, yes. It is the same run in reverse, back over the tops and on through Bradford to Leeds.
