The triangular Victorian market place is setted, and the Thursday market takes the central kerb space beside the Joseph Priestley statue for the day. If your flat is over one of those shop fronts, Thursday is the day to avoid, and setts are worth knowing about anyway: a trolley loaded with boxes does not roll across them, it bounces, so we carry rather than wheel and allow the extra minutes.
The maisonettes are a different proposition. Nova, Fieldhead and Howden Clough are big post-war and ex-council estates, and an upper maisonette typically means an external or half-external staircase, a landing shared with a neighbour and a front door at the top of it. The good news is there is usually somewhere to put a long van. The bad news is the stair turn, which is where wardrobes and three-seaters stop.
