Old Bramhope: what to know before moving day
The homes are grouped on and off Old Lane: Hilton Grange, Hilton Mews and Hilton Court are the residential closes, with Home Farm and Occupation Lane close by. Because the name is so close to Bramhope's, a booking that only says "Bramhope" can send a driver to the wrong end of the parish, so give the close name and full postcode.
The Bramhope Scout Campsite, a 13-acre site owned by Central Yorkshire Scouts, lies here on the west side of the village, and the woods of Chevin Forest Park begin a short way to the west. Old Pool Bank and the Dales Way Link footpath also pass nearby, and a listed milepost on Pool Bank New Road, part of the A658, gives the distances to Bradford and Harrogate.
How the van gets to Old Bramhope
Old Lane leaves the A658 Harrogate Road, which is the direct road from Bradford past Leeds Bradford Airport. Further on, the A658 meets the A660 Leeds Road, for Bramhope and Otley, and then drops down Pool Bank New Road towards Pool-in-Wharfedale. At its other end Old Lane links to East Chevin Road.
The drive from Bradford is roughly 20 to 35 minutes. That is an estimate from route data, not a timed run, and traffic changes it.
