Stepped doorways, a hilltop core and the airport next door

The hilltop core, High Street, Kirk Lane and Ivegate, is narrow, steep and parked on both sides, and there is almost nowhere to hold a long wheelbase van still. So moves up there are worked as short stops: get the van into the best gap available, load the awkward items first while it's there, and shuttle the rest. Back-to-backs and through terraces off Henshaw Lane have one entrance, so the sofa and the divan use the same doorway as everything else.

Away from the top it gets easier. The interwar semis across Larkfield and Rufford Park have proper doorways and somewhere to put the van, and the detached houses and bungalows out towards Rawdon are drive-up jobs. The lanes dropping into Nether Yeadon and Little London are the exception, narrow and steep with tight turns.
