Down off the hill, past the airport, then a fast road

The centre, High Street, Ivegate and Kirk Lane, is narrow, steep and parked on both sides, with almost nowhere to stand a long wheelbase van. Terraces off High Street and Henshaw Lane have no rear access and stepped front entrances, so a full load is carried out to a van sitting on a gradient. None of that is quick, and all of it has to happen before the A65 New Road Side and the A658 fill with airport and school traffic.
