Larkfield: what to know before moving day
The Larkfield streets are Larkfield Road, Avenue, Drive, Mount and Crescent, with Mount Vernon Road and Peasehill Park and Peasehill Close alongside. Larkfield Tarn, a small stretch of water, sits in the middle, with the Lakeside streets round it: Lakeside Terrace, Gardens, Chase and View. Just to the east rises Rawdon Billing, a hill with Billing Hill wood and Billing Tarn on its slopes, and Billing View and Billingwood Drive are on that side.
Rawdon Cricket Club's ground and the Emmott Arms are to the south-east, and Benton Park School is a few streets north on the far side of Harrogate Road. The Canada streets, Canada Road, Drive, Crescent and Terrace, lie between Larkfield and the school. On a sloping street, a note of any steps between the pavement and the front door helps plan the carry.
How the van gets to Larkfield
From Bradford the van takes the A658 through Apperley Bridge into Rawdon, roughly 20 to 30 minutes, then crosses the village on Micklefield Lane, which becomes Harrogate Road, the B6152; the Larkfield streets lie just south of it. From the Leeds side, the A65 Leeds Road passes a short way to the south.
