Whixley: what to know before moving day

The Anchor Inn is on New Road, the village shop on Rudgate and the village hall on High Street.
How the van gets to Whixley
Whixley is close to the B6265, which runs north to Boroughbridge and Ripon, and to the A59 between York and Knaresborough, which has a junction with the A1(M) nearby. From Knaresborough the van takes the A59 east and turns north for the village. Cattal station, about a 30-minute walk away, has trains every 30 minutes to York, Harrogate and Leeds.
