Nova: what to know before moving day
Street names give Nova away: Bronte Road, Branwell Avenue, Nussey Avenue, Withens Road, Lowood Lane and Shirley Avenue sit alongside Kings Drive, Kingsway, Kings Park and Highfield Drive, and a set of flower names, Foxglove Road, Bluebell Court, Heather Court and Daisy Close. St Patrick's Catholic Primary Academy is on the estate, almost at the park boundary.
Nova Wood and Asker Wood are on the doorstep, with Nova Beck running through and New Hall, a residential building, nearby. For a house at the end of one of the courts or closes, say whether a long wheelbase Transit has room to turn at the head; if not, it reverses in and the trolley covers the rest. Measure any shared path between the parking and your door too.
How the van gets to Nova
Field Head Lane, the B6125, is the through road about 260 metres from the middle of Nova, and Raikes Lane is further out; Nova Lane and Cambridge Road are the ways into the estate. From Bradford the M62 as far as junction 27 and then Birstall is the straightforward route.
The drive from Bradford is roughly 20 to 30 minutes. That is an estimate from route data, not a timed run, and traffic changes it.

Nova, Oakwell or Fieldhead: which one is my address?
All three are in WF17 and the Birstall and Birkenshaw ward, within a few hundred metres of each other. Nova is the estate off Nova Lane and Cambridge Road, Oakwell is the hall and its park, and Fieldhead lies along Field Head Lane near the M62. Because they share a postcode district and a ward, the street name is what settles it.
