Dacre: what to know before moving day
The village is small: the Providence Chapel of 1827, still standing with a sundial of 1828 in its burial ground, and an old single-room schoolhouse now used for community events. Nearby are Dacre Hall, a late 18th-century stone house, Pyefield House with its barns, and a walled Quaker burial ground dated 1682, shown on the map as the Friends' Burial Ground.

How the van gets to Dacre
The B6451 runs from Otley north to Summerbridge, and it passes Dacre as Mill Hurst, with Dairy Lane branching off. From Bradford the van can go through Otley and follow the B6451 all the way; from Harrogate it comes up the dale through Birstwith and Darley and joins the same road.
