Troydale: what to know before moving day
Everything hangs off Troydale Lane. Troydale Gardens, Troydale Grove and Troydale Park are the residential closes, grouped near the point where the lane crosses Pudsey Beck on a bridge. The Troydale Recreational Club, with its crown green bowling green, and the Troydale Memorial Garden are right beside them, and Springleigh Farm and Adcock Bank Farm are the nearest farms.
To the east the lane passes Post Hill Woods and Farnley Cemetery on its way to Tong Road, and there is a small industrial site, Mico Lighting, at the Troydale end. West of the houses, Troydale Lane heads towards Pudsey and meets Valley Road and Acres Hall Avenue near Littlemoor Bottom.
How the van gets to Troydale
There are two ways in along Troydale Lane. The eastern stretch, mapped as closed to heavy goods vehicles, runs from Tong Road on the Farnley side. The western end is reached from Pudsey by Valley Road and Acres Hall Avenue, the side facing Bradford.
The drive from Bradford is roughly 20 to 30 minutes. That is an estimate from route data, not a timed run, and traffic changes it.
