Owlcotes and Grangefield at one end, a Town Street front door at the other
Owlcotes Shopping Centre at Stanningley is where plenty of this starts, and its car park has height barriers, so a Transit works from the goods side rather than driving in among the shoppers. The trade units on Grangefield Industrial Estate off Richardshaw Road and the Richardshaw Business Centre are simpler again: yards, doors, nothing to negotiate. Sunny Bank Mills in Farsley is a converted mill site with its own yard, and mill floors normally mean a longer carry than the address suggests.
The delivery end is where it gets interesting. Stone back-to-backs off Town Street in Farsley and around Lowtown have no rear access at all, so a wardrobe goes through the one front door straight off the pavement and then up a staircase that turns. Down at Fulneck and Farsley Beck Bottom the lanes drop away steeply and narrow as they go. A photo of the door and the stair turn before you buy is worth more than any reassurance we could give you afterwards.
What Pudsey furniture & large item transport usually involves
- Robin Lane and the streets around Pudsey Market and the bus station are tight, heavily parked and awkward to turn a long wheelbase van in, so centre drops park on a side street and come in on the trolley
- The three council car parks - Robin Lane, Lidgett Hill and Pudsey Leisure Centre - are small and increasingly short-stay, and Town Street in Farsley has time-limited bays and double yellows
- Peak-time waits at the signalised junctions on and off the Stanningley Bypass cost real minutes, so a morning slot beats a late-afternoon one
- Flat-packed goes up a back-to-back staircase easily, assembled often does not - we will say so before loading rather than after
- The old piece can go to a spare room, the garage or another address entirely, or straight out to the van and away with us once the new one is in
Where in Pudsey we work
- Owlcotes Centre, Stanningleystore collections where the car park height barriers mean we load from the goods side
- Grangefield Industrial Estate, Richardshaw Roadtrade and warehouse units with yard space and a straightforward goods-out door
- Sunny Bank Mills, Farsleyconverted mill units and a shared yard, where the carry is longer than the postcode suggests
- Town Street, Farsleystone back-to-backs with a single front door opening onto the pavement
- LowtownVictorian terraces where the width of the staircase turn decides what you can actually buy
- Fulneck and Farsley Beck Bottomsteep, narrow lanes down the valley side that want a slow approach with a load on
If your street isn't listed it's almost certainly still covered, Pudsey and the surrounding LS28 postcodes are all inside our normal working area.

Frequently asked questions: furniture & large item transport in Pudsey
Can you collect something I have already paid for at Owlcotes?
Yes. Send the order number and the store's collection instructions and we will handle it. You do not need to be there for the pickup, only for the delivery, and we work from the goods side because the car park has height barriers a Transit will not clear.
Will a three-seater sofa get into a Farsley back-to-back?
Sometimes on its feet, more often on its end with the legs off, and occasionally not at all. There is no rear access on those streets so it all depends on the front door width and the first stair turn. Send photos of both and we will give you a straight answer.
How quickly can you do a Pudsey delivery?
Often the same day. Pudsey is five miles from us on the A647, so if the item is ready and the collection point is local we can usually fit it in without much notice. Weekends and evenings up to 8pm are fine too.
