Stump Cross: what to know before moving day
OpenStreetMap puts the Stump Cross name right at the junction. The homes spread north and east of it: Salterlee Primary School stands between Kell Lane and Staups Lane, and small 20 mph streets such as Windmill Crescent, Windmill Drive and Nettle Grove lie to the east. Staups Common is a wood beside Staups Lane, with a small car park near the junction, and the Top o' th' Hill quarry and the locality called Northowram Hill are to the north-east.

There the A58 heads west as Godley Lane towards Halifax and east as Leeds Road towards Hipperholme. Kell Lane and Staups Lane leave the junction northwards into the houses. Allow roughly 20 to 35 minutes from Bradford, and ask for a stopping place off the main roads if your house faces one of them.
