Jennyfields: what to know before moving day
Jennyfield Drive is the estate's spine road, and the houses sit in closes and short roads off it: Grantley Drive, Hartwith Way, Fewston Crescent, Bewerley Road, Timble Grove, Markenfield Road and Beningbrough Drive among them. On a cul-de-sac the van may have to stop at the end of a shared drive, so mention how far the front door is from where a vehicle can pull up.
Saltergate's infant and junior schools serve the estate, and the Jennyfields Health Centre and the Jennyfield Styan Community Centre are here too. Harrogate's main public swimming pool, the Hydro, is on the edge of Jennyfield. Oak Beck runs along the north side with Oak Beck Park beside it, Oakdale Golf Club lies to the south-east, and the Killinghall Moor Country Park car park is on the western side.
How the van gets to Jennyfields
The estate is reached from the A59 Skipton Road and from the New Park roundabout, where the A59 meets the A61 Ripon Road. From Bradford the van comes up to Harrogate on the A658 and crosses town to Skipton Road, then turns into Jennyfield Drive, which carries on over Oak Beck.
The drive from Bradford is roughly 40 to 55 minutes. That is an estimate from route data, not a timed run, and traffic changes it.

To the open ground beyond the houses and to the country park. Killinghall Moor was the undeveloped land between Killinghall and Harrogate, and part of it was built on as the Jenny Fields estate.
