The trackbeds of that line and of the Leeds New Line both cross the area, so some paths here follow old railways rather than streets.
How the van gets to Howden Clough
The A643 runs from Leeds through Morley and Howden Clough into Birstall, so Leeds Road is the road to give the driver. Upper Batley Low Lane meets it here and heads south towards Upper Batley. From Bradford the van can come by the M62 to junction 27 and then through Birstall.
