Barleyfields: what to know before moving day
The railway explains the shape of the streets. The lines that met here closed long ago, but the old Wetherby East, South and West junctions still sit on the map around the edge, and two road bridges still cross the old trackbed. Inside the triangle are Barleyfields Road, Lane, Terrace, Court and Mews, Cooper Road, Caxton Street and Crossley Street.

How the van gets to Barleyfields
Barleyfields sits between the A661, which runs through the centre as West Gate, and North Street, part of the B6164 towards Deighton Road. From Bradford the usual line is Pool-in-Wharfedale, Harewood and Collingham, then the A58 into Wetherby, roughly 45 to 55 minutes. Crossley Street and Caxton Street lead in from the West Gate side.

They carried roads over the railway lines that met here before the lines closed. Barleyfields Road Bridge and the Grade II listed Quarry Hill Bridge still stand, so the streets rise and fall over the old trackbed. Mention if your house is near one, as the van may stop short of the bridge.
