From an Ilkley bedroom to halls in Leeds, York or further
The first move is the big one. A room's worth of bags, a desk chair, a bike and boxes of kitchen things usually fits in one car, but not with a parent and the student as well. The van takes everything in one go, blanket-wrapped and strapped, while the family drives separately. Halls have arrival slots and busy car parks, so tell us the time you have been given and the van works to it.
The summer move is the other way round. A year in a shared house usually means more than went in: a mattress topper, a small desk, a bookcase. An Ilkley family can have everything collected from Leeds or Bradford and brought back up the valley.
Getting a student move from Ilkley booked
- Send the halls or house address, the arrival slot and a photo of everything packed
- The van has 1.7m of height, so a single, double or king mattress travels on its side without folding
- There is one passenger seat, so a student can ride along to let the van in
- Ilkley Grammar sixth-formers heading off in September: book as soon as the halls confirm an arrival slot, and send that slot with the address
- Runs to and from your own self-storage unit can be added if you are keeping things over the summer

Student Removals in Ilkley: your questions
Is there a university in Ilkley?
No. Ilkley has no university or college campus. Students go to universities in Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, York or further, and the van moves them there and back.
Can my friends' rooms go in the same van?
No. The van carries one customer's things on each booking, so friends going to the same city book their own moves.
Can I ride in the van?
Yes, there is one passenger seat. It is useful for letting the driver into halls or a shared house.
I am in a shared house in Leeds. Can you bring my things home to Ilkley for the summer?
Yes. Tell us the date your tenancy ends and the address, and the room is loaded in Leeds and brought up the A65 to your family's door.
