Loading in the village, then the drop down Browgate
Everything in the old village works against a long wheelbase van. Towngate, Manor Fold and Hallcliffe are a knot of narrow streets with cars on both sides, high kerbs and nowhere much to turn, and the terraces off Northgate have no off-street parking at all. For a student load that is manageable, because a room's worth barrows easily. We park on the widest bit we can reach, run the trolley in and keep the back doors clear of the road.
Then there is the hill. Browgate and Baildon Road drop steeply to Baildon Bridge and the station, and a van loaded high rather than low will let you know about it on the way down. Boxes go low and forward, the mattress flat against a side, everything strapped before we move. If the route out is Otley Road, the railway viaduct arches at Woodbottom are the one headroom check on the way.

Is there a university or halls in Baildon?
No. There is no campus in the village. Shipley College is a short hop across the river in Saltaire, and anyone doing a degree travels to Bradford, Leeds or Huddersfield, often from Baildon station on the Wharfedale line. The student work we do here is taking people out in September and fetching them back in June.
Can the van get up to a house off Towngate?
Close, usually not right outside. The village core is narrow, parked both sides and short on turning space, so we find the nearest wide point and barrow in with a trolley. It adds a few minutes to the job rather than changing what is possible, and it is why we prefer an early slot.
Half my things go into storage and half come home. Can you do both?
Yes, in one run. We load everything at the house, drop the storage boxes at whichever unit you have booked, then carry the rest up to the family home. We do not run a store ourselves, so the unit is yours to arrange, but the two drops are quoted as one job.
