Woodlands: what to know before moving day
Woodlands takes in the Woodlands Drive, Woodlands Road, Woodlands Grove and Woodlands Crescent streets, Stonefall Avenue and Stonefall Drive, Wedderburn Road, Rudbeck Drive, Masham Road and Eleanor Road. Willow Tree Primary School, the Woodlands pub and the Morrisons and Sainsbury's supermarkets are here too, so Wetherby Road carries shopping traffic as well as through traffic.
Harrogate Town play at Wetherby Road, a ground with a capacity of 5,000 on the A661 next to Harrogate District Hospital, which is on Lancaster Park Road. A home fixture fills the roads around both. Stonefall Cemetery, the main municipal cemetery and crematorium, is also on Wetherby Road, with a Commonwealth war graves plot that holds mostly Canadian airmen from the Second World War.
How the van gets to Woodlands
Wetherby Road is the A661, which starts at the South Wetherby roundabout and ends at the Empress roundabout in Harrogate. From Bradford the van takes the A658, which becomes the southern bypass of Harrogate and meets Wetherby Road; from there it is a short run in to the Woodlands streets. Rudbeck Drive, Masham Road, St Nicholas Road, Eleanor Road and Lancaster Park Road all turn off the A661 itself.
The drive from Bradford is roughly 40 to 55 minutes. That is an estimate from route data, not a timed run, and traffic changes it.
