Roe Head: what to know before moving day
Roe Head was a boarding school on the road from Leeds to Huddersfield. Charlotte Brontë started there as a pupil on 17 January 1831, her sisters followed, and she later came back to teach. Hollybank, a school for children with profound and multiple disabilities, moved into the Roe Head property in 1990.
