Valley floor or hillside: the two Mirfield deliveries

Up the hill it is a different service altogether. Battyeford, Northorpe, Upper Hopton and Roe Head mostly come with a driveway, a gate wide enough for the trolley and a level path to the kitchen door, and those are among the quickest appliance drops we do anywhere. Getting up to them is the catch, since the lanes climb steeply straight off the valley floor and the rail bridges and level crossings around Northorpe limit the routes.

If a washing machine or fridge freezer has been stood in flood water we will take the old one out to a household waste recycling centre and bring the replacement in on the same visit. Isolate the old one first, water off and plug out, and leave the gas to a Gas Safe engineer.
