Pannal Ash: what to know before moving day
Pannal Ash Road is the spine, with Pannal Ash Crescent, Pannal Ash Drive and Pannal Ash Grove named after it. Beckwith Road and Whinney Lane are the other through roads, and off them are the residential streets: the Beckwith Avenue, Crescent, Drive and Walk group, Hartley Road, Harlow Park Road and the Willow and Yew Tree closes. Beckwith Park and the Hartley Road play area, known locally as the Aeroplane Park, are the open spaces, and the Harlow Hill allotments and The Green Hut community centre are on the same side of town.
The largest landmark is Ashville College, Harrogate's oldest independent school, founded in 1877 as a Methodist boarding school and now on a 60-acre estate on the south side of the town; from September 2025 it takes day pupils only. Rossett Acre Primary School is also nearby. How the van gets to Pannal Ash
Coming from Bradford, the A658 runs out past Leeds Bradford Airport, Pool and Huby to the south of Harrogate. Pannal Ash sits north-west of Pannal village, off Pannal Ash Road and Beckwith Road; Otley Road, the B6162, is the main road to the north of it, through Harlow Hill.
