Norr: what to know before moving day
The oldest buildings are at Norr Fold. Norr Fold Farmhouse carries the date 1679, with a cottage added in the 19th century, and the barn at Norr Fold Farm is older still: timber-framed in the late 16th or early 17th century and clad in stone in the 18th. Both are listed. Around the hamlet OpenStreetMap names Coplowe Hill, Birket Hill and Coplowe Hall Farm, and Norr Hill has an Ordnance Survey trig point.
Closer to the village the housing is newer, on closes such as New Holland Drive, Tempest Close, De Lacy Close, Byland Court and Sycamore Green, off Crack Lane and Shay Lane. Bingley Brewery also has a building here, despite the name. For an old farmhouse or barn conversion, photos of the doorways and the stairs help plan the big items.
How the van gets to Norr
Crack Lane leaves Wilsden's Main Street and runs east; at Norr it meets Coplowe Lane, which runs north towards Cross Lane. Shay Lane joins the same junction. Both Crack Lane and Coplowe Lane are tertiary lanes without lane markings, so the address and a note on where the van can stop are useful.
The drive from Bradford is roughly 15 to 30 minutes. That is an estimate from route data, not a timed run, and traffic changes it.
