Bradley (Skipton): what to know before moving day

Some of Bradley's homes are in converted industrial buildings. Bradley Mill, built in the 1860s, was turned into 28 homes in 2005, and weaving at Rose Shed Mill ended with its redevelopment as Browns Court in the late 1990s. The canal shaped the place too. The Bradley section of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal was completed in 1775, and a coal business once had a wharf and weighbridge by the swing bridge. Beside the canal is a Polish war memorial, unveiled in 2007, for seven Polish airmen killed in a crash near Skipton in 1943. Elsewhere in the parish the listed buildings are mostly old farms, including Cragg House of 1673 and an aisled barn near Far Fold Farm dated to around 1500.

How the van gets to Bradley (Skipton)

High Bradley Lane leaves Mill Lane and runs north to High Bradley; Mill Lane itself joins Skipton Road, the lane that links Bradley with Snaygill on the Skipton side. From Bradford the van follows the A629 up the Aire valley and turns off for Bradley rather than going on into Skipton.

The drive from Bradford is roughly 30 to 45 minutes. That is an estimate from route data, not a timed run, and traffic changes it.
