Back yards, ginnels and the staircase above the shop

Flats above the High Street and Sheep Street shops are the hardest furniture addresses in the town, and there are a lot of them. You reach them from the rear yards through narrow ginnels, then up a steep back staircase with no lift and usually a turn at the top. A two-seater can go up. A three-seater with a fixed back sometimes cannot, and finding that out with the sofa halfway up is a bad afternoon for everybody.

So we ask for photographs of the yard, the ginnel and the stairs before the day. It costs five minutes and it settles whether something is going up assembled, going up in pieces, or needs a different item choosing altogether. Out of the centre life gets easier: Gargrave Road and Aireville are 1930s to 1970s houses with proper drives, and the newer estates at Greatwood and Horse Close have room to park close to the door.
