Vivary Bridge: what to know before moving day
The oldest building here is 1-3 Carry Lane, built in 1702 as a single house called Carry Bridge Hall and later split into three homes; it is listed, in stone with a stone-slate roof and a jettied porch. Carry Bridge Farm is close by. Around them are small streets on the map such as Broken Banks, Clayton Street, Peter Street, William Street, Bold Street, Dam Side, where the limit drops to 15 mph, and Mill Green, most of them 20 mph.
Lenches Road and Lenches Fold, Hartleys Terrace and Carry Field are nearby too. The Colne Royal British Legion crown green bowls club is here too. The town centre, with Market Street, the Market Hall and the bus station, is a short way up the hill to the north-west.
How the van gets to Vivary Bridge
The A56 passes above as Market Street, Church Street and Craddock Road, and Carry Lane, Lenches Road and Mill Green are the streets down towards the river. From Bradford it is the A6068 through Keighley or the A56 through Skipton into the east side of Colne.

No, despite the name. On the map Vivary Way is the A6068 on the west side of Colne, by Knotts and Boundary Mill, while the Vivary Bridge streets are on Colne Water to the south-east of the centre. Give the street name so the van heads to the right end of town.
There is a Vivary Bridge ward, so why does my postcode show Waterside & Horsfield?
Because the names do not line up exactly. Pendle has a ward called Vivary Bridge, used since the 2020 boundary changes, but the postcode BB8 0HE, here by Colne Water, is in the Waterside & Horsfield ward. Council services come from Pendle Borough Council either way.
