This is where the M65 stops. From the Lancashire side everything arrives on the single-carriageway Vivary Way and the Colne roundabout, which backs up badly when Boundary Mill is busy. Going the other way is the useful part: a load bound for the M6 and the south is on motorway within a couple of miles of the town centre, which is more than most towns in this corner of the country can claim.

The A6068 out past Laneshaw Bridge and over the tops towards Keighley is high, exposed moorland and the first road round here to get fog, standing water and a winter closure.
