Norristhorpe Lane is the road that ties the village together, running between it and Flush on the Heckmondwike side. Off it are the residential streets: Balmfield and Balmfield Crescent, Norristhorpe Avenue, Headlands Road and Dymond Road, with newer closes such as Millers Croft and Millstone Rise nearer Cornmill Lane. The Norristhorpe Lane Recreation Ground and The Norristhorpe pub are the easiest landmarks to give.
The village has a primary school, an Anglican church and a United Reformed Church. Its Methodist chapel, built in 1906, closed in 2004 and is now a private house. Liversedge Hall stands on Liversedge Hall Lane. Below the village runs the Spen Valley Greenway, the old railway line now kept for walkers, riders and cyclists, so houses that back onto it are reached from the street side only. How the van gets to Norristhorpe
From Bradford, take the M606 to junction 26 and follow the A638 south through Cleckheaton and Millbridge to Flush, where Norristhorpe Lane links the village with the valley floor. The A62 Huddersfield Road passes on the other side of the village, and Liversedge Hall Lane and Cornmill Lane serve the lower streets.
