Two motorways out of the Spen Valley: the M62 west or the M1 south
Manchester is roughly 35 miles away: down the A62 towards Cooper Bridge, onto the A644 and then the M62 at junction 25, crossing the Pennines and joining the M60. That is a run that can go there and back between 8am and 8pm with a full load. Hartshead Moor services sits on the M62 just west of Hightown, which is a useful place to say a car following the van can meet it.
The south is a different road. The A649 and A638 take the van through Heckmondwike and round the Dewsbury ring road to the M1, and from there it is about 32 miles to Sheffield and some 190 to central London. A London job is a long single day from an 8am start, so the load has to be ready and the parking at the far end sorted in advance. If the load would need two trips over that distance, the quote will say so rather than leave you to find out on the day.
Before a long move leaves WF15
- Photograph every room, the loft and the garage, and give the destination postcode and floor
- Find out whether the new street needs a parking permit or a suspended bay for a van
- Have the boxes sealed and labelled before 8am on the day; the clock starts at loading
- Measure the largest pieces against the doors at the new address before you go
- Carry keys, paperwork and anything precious in your own car

Long Distance Removals in Liversedge: your questions
Does my furniture change vans on the way?
No. It is loaded in Liversedge, stays on the same Transit with the same driver, and comes off only at your new home. There is no depot and no shared load.
Is Liversedge to London possible in one day?
Yes, when the load fits one van and loading starts at 8am. The part that can slow it is parking at the London end, so check whether a permit or bay suspension is needed and say at the quote.
Which way will the van go to Manchester?
Normally down the A62 towards Cooper Bridge, the A644 to junction 25 and the M62 west. It avoids going back up through Cleckheaton to Chain Bar.
What if my things fill more than one van?
You will find out from the photos, measured against the 3.4m by 1.3m by 1.7m load space. Over a long distance a second trip costs nearly as much as the first, so selling or sending a few big items another way is worth weighing up.
