Hyde Park: what to know before moving day
Most homes are late-Victorian or Edwardian red-brick terraces: some back-to-back, others through terraces facing wide streets with a shared alleyway behind. A small area of 1980s council housing lies between Hyde Park Road and Woodsley Road. Many of the houses are let to students; if your tenancy ends with the academic year, book early and say which floor the room is on and what is going.
Woodhouse Moor, which locals often just call Hyde Park, sits between the terraces, Woodhouse and the campus, and the Unity Day festival is usually held on it in August. Along the streets you will find the Hyde Park Picture House, an independent cinema, the Brudenell Social Club and the Royal Park on Queen's Road, and the Leeds Grand Mosque on Woodsley Road. The cafes and shops cluster at Hyde Park Corner, where the A660 passes.
How the van gets to Hyde Park
The A660 passes Woodhouse Moor and Hyde Park Corner, as Woodhouse Lane and then Headingley Lane. From Bradford, the A647 brings the van into west Leeds and on through Burley, and once inside the grid, Brudenell Road, Royal Park Road and Hyde Park Road are the main streets.
The drive from Bradford is roughly 25 to 35 minutes. That is an estimate from route data, not a timed run, and traffic changes it.

Hyde Park: questions before you book
Is Hyde Park the park or the neighbourhood?
Both, which can confuse a booking. The park is Woodhouse Moor, often called Hyde Park, and the terraces around it are the Hyde Park neighbourhood. Give your street name so the van comes to the house rather than the edge of the moor.
Which station is nearest to Hyde Park?
Burley Park, on the Harrogate line, is close by. Parking near it is limited to the surrounding streets, so the van is planned to stop on your own street instead.
