Fenay Bridge: what to know before moving day
Common End Lane runs through the middle, with Jumble Wood, Manor Park Way, Woodlands Road East and The Clough branching from it. Station Road, Fields Road, Oak Tree Avenue and Highgate Lane cover the rest, and Fenay Beck runs close by. Rowley Lane Junior, Infant and Nursery School and Lepton CofE Primary Academy are both within about 300 metres, and there is a pub called The Fenay Bridge.
Fenay Bridge had its own station on the Kirkburton branch, shared with Lepton, from 1867. Passenger trains stopped in 1930 and the line closed in 1965, and OpenStreetMap still marks its razed course about 200 metres from Common End Lane. Two streets, Fenay Beck Court and Brooke Chase, are still mapped as construction sites, so a satnav may not know every new house number yet.
How the van gets to Fenay Bridge
Penistone Road is the A629, which runs from Huddersfield past Fenay Bridge towards Kirkburton, Shepley and Penistone. Rowley Lane, part of the B6433, runs from it into Lepton, and the A642 Wakefield Road, which starts at the A629 junction at Waterloo, passes about 400 metres away. From Bradford the M62 and Huddersfield's ring road bring the van onto the A629.
The drive from Bradford is roughly 30 to 40 minutes. That is an estimate from route data, not a timed run, and traffic changes it.

Ward and parish boundaries are drawn separately. Postcode records put HD8 0AN in the Almondbury ward of Kirklees but in the civil parish of Kirkburton, whose council also covers Lepton. For a move the postcode is what counts.
Is a new-build on one of the construction streets a problem?
Not usually, but mapping can lag behind new estates. Send the plot or house number and a nearby landmark, such as Common End Lane or Station Road, so the van finds the right door.
