Twist Wood lies just off the main road, and Strines Beck, the stream that powered Holme Field Mill at Holmfield in the 19th century, runs close by. The industrial site nearby is the Parkinson-Spencer Refractories works. If your house is on one of the tracks rather than a surfaced lane, say so, and send a photo of the approach.
How the van gets to Catherine Slack
Halifax Road, the A647, comes south-west from Queensbury past Ambler Thorn and Shibden Head to Catherine Slack, and beyond the Swales Moor Road junction it carries on as Queensbury Road. Windy Bank Lane leaves Halifax Road and meets Brow Lane, which runs down to Holdsworth Road.
