The A672 Oldham Road links Booth Wood with Rishworth and with Ripponden, where it meets the A58. Pike End Road and Moselden Lane both leave the A672 here. The motorway is close but has no junction at Booth Wood: junction 22, where the M62 meets the A672 further up, is the nearest.
