Appletreewick: what to know before moving day
The village is one steep main street lined with stone houses, with High Hall at the top and Low Hall at the bottom. High Hall is a Tudor-style house listed at Grade II*, restored by Sir William Craven, Lord Mayor of London in the early 1600s. Almost opposite, a pair of cottages was turned into St John the Baptist's Church in 1898, and lower down is Monks Hall, largely rebuilt in 1697. How the van gets to Appletreewick
The last part of the way is on minor roads. From the B6265 near Hebden, Hartlington Raikes runs down through Upper and Lower Hartlington, and Appletreewick is just over a mile east of Hartlington. Skipton is the usual first stop from Bradford, then the B6265 north through Rylstone and Cracoe. OpenStreetMap names Stangs Lane and Hazler Lane as the lanes around the village.
