Trade counters on the ring road, shops inside the walls
Clifton Moor is York's trade quarter as well as its retail park. Jewson, Travis Perkins, MKM on Kettlestring Lane, Wickes on Lysander Close, Toolstation on Audax Road and Screwfix on Stirling Road sit within a few hundred yards of each other, beside the Rawcliffe Industrial Estate and Stirling Park units. On the other side of the city, Huntington has Portakabin's works and the MX Park units by Monks Cross, and James Street has more trade counters near Foss Islands Retail Park.
The delivery end is often the harder part. Shops, cafes and offices inside the walls sit on footstreets closed to vehicles from 10.30am to 5pm, and Stonegate takes loading only in the morning, up to 10.30am, The van reaches York from about 9am, so the morning window suits a small drop, and a bigger delivery may suit the evening, except on Stonegate. On Fossgate, loading is allowed only in the marked areas. Outside the walls, York Science Park on Innovation Way at Heslington is reached off the A64 and the A19, and York Designer Outlet on St Nicholas Avenue sits right by the A64 Fulford junction.

Business Deliveries in York: your questions
Can you deliver to a shop inside York's city walls?
Yes, outside footstreet hours. A small drop fits the morning once the van arrives from about 9am, and a larger one the evening, though Stonegate has no evening access.
Can you collect from the trade counters at Clifton Moor?
Yes. Give the counter, the order reference and the delivery address, and the goods are collected and taken straight to the site or shop.
How much fits in one business delivery?
With 3.4m of floor, 1.3m between the arches and 1.7m of height, the van takes shop shelving, a run of boxed stock or a set of office desks and chairs; send sizes and the load is planned.
