South to York and Leeds or north to Durham: which way a YO51 student goes
Junction 48 splits the choices. Turn south and York's halls are about 20 miles away, Leeds about 28; turn north and the A1(M) runs on to Durham and Newcastle. Whichever way it goes, the September load is one bedroom: duvet, desk lamp, a crate of pans and mugs, a clothes rail, a bike if there is room. It goes in at your door on Hereford Way, Springfield Road or a new street in Milby, and parents can drive alongside with the laptop and anything breakable.
Coming back is a different shape of job. A second-year house share has a fixed leaving date, there is more stuff than went out, and the street may be packed with parents doing the same. Send the house address, the date the keys go back and a photo of the room. Things that are not coming to YO51 for the summer can be dropped into a self-storage unit you rent near campus, then fetched in September.

Student Removals in Boroughbridge: your questions
Is there a college in Boroughbridge?
No. Boroughbridge High School on Wetherby Road is the town's secondary school, and university or college means a move to a city such as York or Leeds.
Is one student room too small a load to book a van for?
No. A single room fills only part of the van, but it saves cramming the family car, and the price reflects the load.
Can belongings be kept somewhere over the summer?
The business has no storage, though the van will drop boxes at a self-storage unit you rent near campus and collect them in the autumn.
Can someone travel with the van to halls?
One passenger can ride in the cab. Say so when booking.
