West Haddlesey: what to know before moving day
Main Street and Millfield Road run through the village, Birkin Road and Pale Lane lead out to the west and north-west, with River Lane as well. The closes are small: Riverside Close, Princess Drive, Old House Gardens and The Meadows. There is a post office.
The canal mouth is just south of the houses. The Selby Canal opened in 1778 and runs 6 miles to Selby with two locks. The village pub, the George and Dragon, closed after a fire in March 2019 and the building has since become a restaurant. How the van gets to West Haddlesey
From Bradford the M62 to junction 34 and the A19 north past Eggborough bring the van to Chapel Haddlesey, where the A19 crosses the Aire. West Haddlesey is along Millfield Road to the west, and Birkin Road leaves the village to the west.
