Little Horton: what to know before moving day
At this end of Little Horton Lane, numbers 808 to 850 are rows of sandstone cottages from about 1800 to 1860, some single storey and one row stepped up the hill. Farside Green has two early 19th-century rows, one stepped in groups of three down the slope, and Quaker Lane has single-storey cottages from around 1800. All are Grade II listed, so check the doorways, stairs and front steps.
Nearby is the Canterbury housing estate, around Canterbury Avenue, which is also part of the Little Horton ward. How the van gets to Little Horton
Little Horton Lane is the road out from the city centre. The A6177 ring road passes the southern end as Southfield Road and Southfield Lane, then turns up Hudson Avenue to Great Horton. From the M606, the ring road from Staygate along Mayo Avenue and Smiddles Lane leads to it.
