Daisy Hill (Bradford): what to know before moving day
Daisy Hill Lane is lined with listed stone cottages, all Grade II and built between the late 1700s and the early 1800s. New Row is a long terrace with bracketed eaves; 64 to 74 are six cottages stepped up the hill; 57 to 63 began as a farmhouse and barn; and 76 and 80 stand at right angles to the road. The former Queen public house, a cottage turned pub, is here too. With cottages stepped up a slope, send a photo of the way from the road to your door along with the photos of the furniture.
Behind the lane are the Duchy streets, Duchy Drive, Duchy Avenue and Duchy Crescent, and the Wheatlands streets, with Daisy Hill Recreation Ground and Haworth Road Recreation Ground as open space. Two hospitals border the area. Lynfield Mount Hospital on Heights Lane grew out of the Daisy Hill Union Workhouse, opened in 1913, and Bradford Royal Infirmary is on Duckworth Lane, where its current buildings opened in 1936. The octagonal Church of Our Lady and the First Martyrs, built in 1935 and listed, is a short way north.
How the van gets to Daisy Hill (Bradford)
Duckworth Lane, past the Infirmary, is the direct way in from the city. Daisy Hill Lane leaves it and runs north through the old cottages, becoming Heights Lane past the hospital and meeting the B6144 Haworth Road at the top. That makes Haworth Road the second way in, from the Heaton side. Squire Lane and Pearson Lane also join Duckworth Lane nearby.
The drive from Bradford is roughly 10 to 20 minutes. That is an estimate from route data, not a timed run, and traffic changes it.

Daisy Hill (Bradford): questions before you book
Older maps put Daisy Hill in Heaton ward. Is that still right?
Not any more. Wikipedia's Heaton article, written to older boundaries, includes Daisy Hill in that ward, but the current postcode lookup places BD9 6AA in Toller ward. Either way it is Bradford Council, with no parish council, and the BD9 postcode is what the van needs.
