Bradley (Nelson): what to know before moving day

A tramroad once ran from Clough Head Colliery to railway sidings at Bradley Lane Head. Today the map shows Bradley Hall Road and Bradley Fold, with streets such as Lonsdale Street, Wren Street, Oakland Street, Chapel Street, Bottomley Street and Nile Street, most of them 20 mph.
Bradley Primary School, Holy Saviour Church and its church hall, Nelson Baptist Church and the Markazi Jamia Ghausia Masjid are all nearby, and Hodge House is the local park. Nelson Town Hall and the fire station are close by on the map. The East Lancashire Line crosses the area on a bridge, and the canal passes close by.
How the van gets to Bradley (Nelson)
The A56 Leeds Road runs through Bradley towards Colne, with the A682 Scotland Road and the A6068 Reedyford Road close by; Netherfield Road and Barkerhouse Road are the other through routes. Junction 13 of the M65 at Reedyford is the motorway exit, and from Bradford the van comes over to Colne by the A6068 or the A56 before dropping back one junction.
