St Michael's Church is the heart of the hamlet and was the old parish's only Grade I listed building, with most of its stonework from the 15th or early 16th century. Beside it are Bracewell Hall and the hall's barn, probably adapted from a 15th-century house, and nearby are Hopwood Farmhouse with its crow-stepped gable, Hopwood House and New House Farmhouse, all stone. The village hall is the other named building on the map, and Stock Beck runs past.
