Terrace down in town, house up the hill: planning both ends
The two ends of a local move are rarely alike. A terrace at Upper Edge or Lower Edge means a steep street, cars on both kerbs and stone steps at the door, so the van stands where it legally can and furniture is trolleyed. A house at Greetland or Stainland may have a drive, but the lane in can be walled with little room to turn, so the stopping place is fixed in advance from your photos.
Size decides the number of trips. The van carries 3.4 metres of load, 1.3 metres between the arches and 1.7 metres high, which takes a typical two-bed terrace in one go with boxes packed round the furniture.
